This Shinto shrine on Itsukushima (or Miyajima) Island is most well known for its floating torii gate. This torii gate is built in the Seto Inland Sea, and appears to be floating at high tide. Visitors can walk to the gate at low tide, but of course the high tide is preferred by photographers.
