These art series are part of my "Reality + Perception" project. Photographers capture reality with cameras while artists draw their interpretation of reality. While the focus of my artwork in the past 10 years has been primarily on photography, occasionally I put down my camera and pick up a pen or brush for doodling and calligraphy. In this collection, I explore the duality of reality captured in photos with my perception of reality expressed through sketches or words. These interpretations arose from inspirations while capturing the photos or afterwards while processing the images. These art pieces combine the duality of simplicity in the photos with the complex lines and curves drawn in the sketches, reflecting my search for minimalism and calmness amidst the complexities in life.
