Sentō Gosho Pebble Beach

Sentō Gosho Pebble Beach

Sentō Gosho is a former palace for retired Emperor Gomizuno-o in the 17th century. The stroll garden retains its original design by Kobori Enshū, with a pebble beach along the South Pond. The stones were carefully chosen for their size and shape, and individually wrapped in silk for the journey from Mount Fuji area to Sentō Gosho as gifts for the Emperor.
