Fushimi Inari *
Fushimi Inari is the head shrine of Inari, the god of rice and patron of business in Japan. A path lined with Senbon Torii (thousands of torii gates) leads to the inner shrine in the middle of the Inari-yama mountain. Each torii has been donated by a business to worship Inari for prosperity. Commonly found at the entrance of Shinto shrines, a torii gate marks the transition from the secular to the sacred.
